My AM & PM Skin Care Routine

Up until using Beautycounter products, I didn’t have skin care products I loved. I like some of them, but I was always jumping from one brand to another trying to find the best products for my skin. Now I absolutely love my skin care products and truly look forward to using them every morning and night. Plus my skin has improved so much since using it.

I started using Beautycounter’s Countertime skin care line almost three years ago, and I’ve never looked back. It has made my skin incredibly soft, reduced fine lines and wrinkles, and evened out my skin tone. Countertime is Beautycounter’s anti-aging line featuring a much safer alternative to retinol–a plant-derived ingredient called Retinatural Complex, and I love what it has done for my skin.

I liked the previous skin care products I was using from Beautycounter, but I was still getting an occasional breakout, and I also still had some oiliness and dry areas depending upon the time of the year. Now, I can truly say I have never been happier with how my skin looks these days! No dryness this winter, no excessive oil in the T-zone, and blemishes so infrequent I would honestly say I never get them any more. (I think I’ve had two random zits pop up in the last 6 months).

My skin care routine is nearly identical in the morning and the evening. The only difference is the moisturizer I use as my last step–a lighter weight moisturizer in the morning and a thicker moisturizer in the evening.

There are four products that I use, plus the eye cream each morning and night. It might sound like a lot, but it only takes me a few minutes to complete the steps. Plus I honestly feel like I’m giving myself a facial each time I use the products since they feel so luxurious!

There are six products in the Countertime Collection, and here’s the order in which I use them.

Countertime Lipid Defense Cleansing Oil: Using an oil-based cleanser at first seemed counter-intuitive, but I’m a big fan now. It is lightweight and doesn’t strip my skin of essential oils like most other cleansers do. It does a good job of getting my makeup off, but I do still use the eye makeup remover to get my mascara and eyeliner off.

Countertime Mineral Boost Hydrating Essence: I think one reason my skin has been so hydrated and soft is due to this product. It is a creamy liquid that you pat into your skin–giving your skin a boost in hydration and radiance.

Countertime Tripeptide Radiance Serum: While my skin might not be in the “mature” category, I will happily use some anti-aging products to combat wrinkles and help ward them off longer. This serum does just that–increasing skin firmness and elasticity, while reducing fine lines and wrinkles.

Ultra Renewal Eye Cream: I had tried a couple other eye creams from Beautycounter but was never a huge fan until I tried the Countertime eye cream. “This high-performance eye cream revitalizes the eye area and reduces the appearance of under-eye shadows and crow’s feet for a smooth, firmed look.” And it has helped me from looking too tired postpartum.

AM –> Countertime Antioxidant Soft Cream: Finding the right thickness and consistency of a day and night cream can be tricky, but Beautycounter nailed it with their day and night cream in this line. This soft cream (which is the day cream in this line) improves your skin’s barrier function and boosts hydration, which ultimately helps protect it from daily environmental stressors. It absorbs so well and leaves my skin soft and ready for applying my makeup.

PM –> Countertime Tetrapeptide Supreme Cream: The supreme cream (which is this line’s night cream) is super rich and hydrating. This cream also supports elasticity and visibly firms while smoothing skin texture to minimize the look of fine lines and wrinkles.

If you are interested in trying this skin care routine, I’d recommend starting with the Countertime Regimen Set and purchasing the eye cream separately since it doesn’t come with the set. You save a little money when bundling everything together. Plus the products are designed to all work together, so I always encourage people to stick to the same skin care line.

The best part of these products is that they are safer, non-toxic, free of hormone-disrupting ingredients, and 1800 potentially harmful ingredients.

How long would you say the face care set will last? Thanks!

I’ve had products last any where from 3/4 months to 9+ months. I haven’t run out of everything at the same time, which is nice because it spreads out the cost over time.
