Beautycounter’s Countertime Skin Care Line Review

Never EVER have I loved a skin care line more than I have since using the Countertime line from Beautycounter. Never EVER has my skin been so soft, so clear, and so healthy-looking. Since using this line, I’ve had so few breakouts (maybe one or two blemishes), my skin is never oily or never dry (usually I would deal with one or the other–or both), my pores have never been smaller, and my skin seriously feels radiant every day.

after 8 weeks of Countertime use + minimal makeup

I started using the Countertime skin care line at the end of July and initially loved all of the products. Each time I used the products, I felt like I was getting a facial. The products felt high-end, and my skin felt amazing after each use. However, I was skeptical they were going to do much for my skin.

This was the first time I had used an entire skin care line that was designed to go together. Prior to this I had mixed-and-matched skin care lines. For example I had used a couple products from the Countermatch line and a couple items from the Rejuvenating line. They definitely worked fine, but I also knew it was better to use products all from the same line since they are formulated to go together. And even prior to using Beautycounter items, I had used items from multiple brands–never really finding anything I loved.

After over two months of use, I can definitely say my skin is better than it has ever been. I used these products through the last couple months of my pregnancy and into my postpartum days, and I am incredibly happy that my skin is blemish-free, glowing, and softer than it has ever been.

The jars are so pretty that they sit out on my bathroom countertop all the time.

There are six products in the Countertime Collection. They are pretty unique in the following ways:

Countertime Lipid Defense Cleansing Oil: I have never used an oil cleanser, but I’m a big fan. It is lightweight and doesn’t strip my skin of essential oils.

Countertime Mineral Boost Hydrating Essence: I think one reason my skin has been so hydrated and soft is due to this product. It is a creamy liquid that you pat into your skin–giving your skin a boost in hydration and radiance.

Countertime Tripeptide Radiance Serum: While my skin might not be in the “mature” category, I will happily use some anti-aging products to combat wrinkles and help ward them off longer. This serum does just that–increasing skin firmness and elasticity, while reducing fine lines and wrinkles.

Countertime Antioxidant Soft Cream: Finding the right thickness and consistency of a day and night cream can be tricky, but Beautycounter nailed it with their day and night cream in this line. This soft cream (which is the day cream in this line) improves your skin’s barrier function and boosts hydration, which ultimately helps protect it from daily environmental stressors.

Countertime Tetrapeptide Supreme Cream: The supreme cream (which is this line’s night cream) is super rich and hydrating. This cream also supports elasticity and visibly firms while smoothing skin texture to minimize the look of fine lines and wrinkles.

Ultra Renewal Eye Cream: I had tried a couple other eye creams from Beautycounter but was never a huge fan until I tried the Countertime eye cream. “This high-performance eye cream revitalizes the eye area and reduces the appearance of under-eye shadows and crow’s feet for a smooth, firmed look.”

The best part of these products is that they are safe, non-toxic, free of hormone-disrupting ingredients, and 1500 potentially harmful ingredients.

I love these products so much I even brought all of them to the hospital when I had Bjorn.

And who doesn’t love a good before and after photo?! The first photo was taken at the end of the July; the second photo was taken today–over 2 months later.

2+ months of using Countertime products

My sun spots have diminished, my skin tone is more even, I have less wrinkles, and my skin is much more hydrated and glowing.

I do want to highlight the difference between the full Countertime Collection versus the Countertime Regimen Set. The Countertime Collection contains all six items while the Countertime Regimen Set contains five of the six items. (The eye cream is not part of the regimen.) The regimen has a little lower price-point and a couple of the products are smaller. If you are interested in trying this line, you could purchase the regimen, plus the eye cream, which is still cheaper than buying the full collection. Either way, you are getting high-end, luxury products that are safe and effective!

I am truly a fan of the Countertime line and would highly recommend any/all of these products to anyone–men included. I’ve heard so many success stories with these products, and you can’t deny the 500+ reviews with an average 5-star rating!
