Merry Christmas 2019

I hope you have a blessed Christmas with your family and loved ones.

We celebrated Christmas with Craig’s parents, brother, and sister-in-law last night with a meal, church, and opening presents. I got the best present from Bjorn with a solid 6 hours of sleep without him waking up! Let’s see if we can keep this trend going.

Yesterday it started snowing, so we had a white Christmas. Prior to this it was pretty brown, which was definitely nice for running. I’ll take some snow on Christmas, but then it can go away.

The older I get, the more I care less about gift-giving and rather just want to spend the time with loved ones. I love the idea of giving each other ‘an experience’ rather than gifts. I wonder if I can convince Craig to do a trip to Hawaii next Christmas.

However you celebrate, I am reminded of the birth of Christ this time of the year, the hope he gives us in eternal life, and the peace that this brings in my life.

Merry Christmas and happy holidays!

Hi, I'm Michelle

I love running around the lakes of Minnesota, running after my two boys, and racing anything from the 5K to the marathon. I have been blogging here since 2010 when I ran my first marathon. I finally secured my sub-3 hour marathon after trying for 8 years.
