Spring Favorites 2018

Spring is one of my favorite seasons mostly because it means winter is over!!

I love spring decor, spring colors, spring clothes, spring shoes (no more boots!)–basically spring everything! I’ve picked out some really cute shoes, a long sleeve running shirt if it’s still chilly where you live, a tank top if it is finally warm where you are, and a v-neck shirt that you could buy in every color it’s that affordable.

Some of the items on this list are ones I already own–and love, and some are things I have been eyeing. Feel free to share what you are loving in the comments below.

1. These v-neck shirts are the best, and you can’t beat the price at $8 a piece. (And right now they are 3 for $20!) I have them in two colors and wear them all the time. I’d recommend sizing up if you want a more relaxed fit.

2. I’ve been on the hunt for a new “mom-bag” and this reversible faux-leather tote would be perfect for all of the things I tote around with me every day: wallet, phone, keys, sunglasses, a couple of kids’ toys, baby wipes, sometimes my planner, and of course snacks for both Cullen and myself.

3. I own a very similar jacket I bought last year like this green military jacket, and I wear it all the time. I thought I would just wear it in the fall, but I find myself reaching for it a lot this spring too. And for less than $35, you can’t go wrong.

4. Nothing beats a cozy sweatshirt, and this one fits so much better than my Patagonia Re-Tool (which I still love). This Patagonia sweatshirt has a longer body and longer arms, which is great for someone like myself who is a little on the taller side at 5’7″. I actually ordered this the other day, so it’s on the way to my house!

5. I am in need of a new pair of non-distressed dark denim jeans. Every time I shop on Nordstrom’s website, these always catch my eye. They look so slimming and flattering.

6. I own several pair of these chino shorts, and they always fit like a glove. Plus they aren’t super short at 3.5 inches. Perfect to be dressed up or dressed down on warm spring days and into the hot days of summer.

7. Two summers ago I purchased a pair of canvas slip-ons from Gap, but they are in need of being replaced. This pair of Vans looks similar to the pair I had, and I wore them all the time, so I know I would get good use out of these.

8. How pretty are these flats? I love the jeweled detail on the toe box, and they would be perfect with white jeans or cropped dress pants.

9. If it is still chilly in the mornings for your morning run, buy this Oiselle shirt! It is the perfect thickness for temps in the 40s, and I’ve worn these shirts (I have two.) countless times!

10. If it is warm enough for you to wear a tank top on your runs, this running tank is so adorable, and it is even cuter in the back with some color-blocking. I am also a sucker for the color coral.

Hi, I'm Michelle

I love running around the lakes of Minnesota, running after my two boys, and racing anything from the 5K to the marathon. I have been blogging here since 2010 when I ran my first marathon. I finally secured my sub-3 hour marathon after trying for 8 years.
