Hi, I’m Michelle!
I have been coaching individual athletes and in-person groups for the last 15 years. I have a minor in coaching, and am a RRCA (Road Runners Club of America) Level I certified coach. I currently offer three types of coaching to runners of all abilities who are looking to improve their PR (personal records), run their first race, or wish to take their training and competition to the next level.
I have spent the past 25 years running and developing my knowledge and expertise in running, and I love helping others with their running goals too. I ran in high school, college, and now enjoying running anything from the 5K to the marathon. Through my own coaching, I was able to cut 45 minutes off my marathon time.
I offer 3 types of coaching services:
1. Training Plans
I have developed my own training plans for those who want guidance on workouts but don’t need someone checking in with them on a regular basis. I have 4 training plans I have written:
- Return to Running Training Plan (an 8 week plan that starts with run/walks and builds to a continuous 5 mile run by the end)
- Base Building Training Plan (a 12 week training plan for those in between a specific training block)
- Half Marathon Training Plan (a 12 week plan that starts at 29 miles per week and builds to 45 miles for a strong, fast half)
- Marathon Training Plan (a 16 week plan designed to get you to the starting line fit and healthy of your next marathon–plan starts at 30 miles and builds to 50 miles per week)
You can see more details and to purchase them through the VDot Marketplace store.
2. One-On-One Personalized Training
This is for the runner who wants a very personalized plan and wants close communication with their coach to help their stay accountable, bounce ideas off of, and go after big goals.
My personalized, one-on-one coaching include speed workouts, tempo runs, and track workouts–all dependent upon where you are at in your training and what your goals are. The workouts will be designed to fit your ability level and running goals. No two runners are the same, so no two plans are ever the same either.
Coaching plans will be sent virtually each week through the platform Final Surge. I love this app because it allows me to see workouts as soon as an athlete’s GPS watch syncs to their phone. I can communicate through the app, provide strength plans for my athletes, and share videos through it as well. I am available by e-mail, text, phone calls, Zoom/Facetime, with prompt responses within 24 hours. I love getting to know my athletes, and my level of interaction and accountability is a high priority to me.
As I work with each of my athletes, their feedback on how each run/workout went will determine future workouts. I want each person to enjoy the workouts and not feel as though they are outside their capability, and I am happy to structure workouts around your work life, family time, or other scheduled things that may come up.
I also have a private Facebook group for my team of athletes where people give updates on their training, ask questions, and encourage each other in their goals.
Rate is $195/month. Please email me (prcoaching.michelle@gmail.com) to sign up.
3. Virtual consultation
This is a chance for you to ask me any/all of your running-related questions. I can do a gait analysis during this time as well, as take a look at your training log and make suggestions as to where you could improve. I answer questions regarding fueling on a long run, weight lifting, nutrition, and/or proper warm-ups, as just a few examples. I will give you valuable information that you can then use to improve your own running.
Hourly rate is $75.
Please email me (prcoaching.michelle@gmail.com) if you would like to schedule a call.
You can e-mail me at prcoaching.michelle@gmail.com if you have any further questions!
