My Skin Care Routine

I recently updated my skin care post with a more current routine that I am now using. Find that post HERE. (updated February 2020)

Now that I’ve got my skin care routine dialed in, I wanted to share what I have been using, and I have never been happier with how my skin looks these days! No dryness this winter, no excessive oil in the T-zone, very few blemishes, and a much even skin tone.

All of my skin care products are from Beautycounter  but prior to joining Beautycounter as a consultant, I wasn’t loyal to one brand. I used several different cleansers and moisturizers, and while I liked a lot of these products, they never ‘wowed’ me. I started out with just a couple of items from Beautycounter and have slowly been replacing my old skin care products with safer alternatives. I love that Beautycounter doesn’t compromise on the quality of their products–they truly are amazing products. Plus the added benefit of them containing safer, non-toxic ingredients is very reassuring.

AM Routine

Rejuvenating Face Cleanser

This is one of my favorite cleansers. It does an awesome job of cleansing, and it leaves my skin feeling refreshed without driness or tightness afterwards. I thought the bottle lasted longer than some of the other cleansers, which was an added bonus.

Nourishing Cream Exfoliator

In the morning, I will either use the Rejuvenating Face Cleanser or this Nourishing Cream Exfoliator. The little non-abrasive jojoba beads feel so nice on my skin to scrub and exfoliate my skin. I will also use my Clarisonic to get an even deeper clean.

Rejuvenating Radiance Serum

I love this product so much I wrote an entire blog post on it! It absorbs so well into my skin and has helped with pore size and overall skin tone. I use this at least once a day and sometimes twice if I remember.

Countermatch Adaptive Moisture Lotion

This was such a lifesaver for my combination skin. My skin was often oily in the T-zone and dry on my cheeks, but this lotion helped balance everything out. It is designed to give you moisture where you need it and not where you don’t. The entire Countermatch Collection is amazing for those with dry skin.

PM Routine

Cleansing Balm

I waited a while to purchase the Cleansing Balm because the price point was more than the other cleansers, but now I know why! It is a great multi-tasker that can get rid of makeup, cleanse your skin, provide awesome hydration, and even be used as a mask overnight. I love how it makes my skin feel afterwards–buttery soft. You don’t need much, so the container has lasted me a long time.

Overnight Resurfacing Peel

If I had to recommend only one Beautycounter product, it would be the Overnight Resurfacing Peel. I tell people it is like a chemical peel in a bottle but a lot cheaper and made with safer ingredients. I noticed a big difference within just a few times of using it. My pores are smaller, my skin is incredibly soft, it helps my (occasional) breakouts to heal faster, and my skin looks brighter as well!

Rejuvenating Night Cream

This stuff is a miracle-worker. I love waking up in the morning with soft, smooth skin that is well-hydrated. I also swear the lotion helps with reducing the size of any blemish I may have.

No. 3 Balancing Facial Oil

I like to mix 2-3 drops of the facial oil with the Rejuvenating Night Cream before spreading everything on my face at night. I had perpetually dry skin last winter, but since using the facial oil, my skin no longer has dry patches on it. This was my gateway product into Beautycounter.

Would you be able to go through your makeup routine as well? I’m a mid-30s runner who has yet to master that area.
