Becoming a Beautycounter Consultant

I’ve always been concerned with the things I put IN my body: making sure I avoid preservatives in food, eating minimally processed things, avoiding dyes, and eating organic when possible. However, lately I’ve been thinking about the things I put ON my body as well: cosmetics, lotions, soaps, perfumes. To be honest, I didn’t really think about them being harmful until my friend and coworker, Whitney, mentioned something about perfume being absorbed through your pores. Of course I know the ingredients in fragrances are filled with some pretty harsh chemicals and not something I want going into my body. Plus, my skin is the largest organ, so why shouldn’t I treat it with care as well?

Then, a few months ago, my blogger friend, Teri from A Foodie Stays Fit introduced me to Beautycounter’s Dew Skin Tinted Moisturizer. She raved about it along with Beautycounter’s mission and what they stand for: safer skincare and products that are free of many harmful chemicals found in a lot of other cosmetics and beauty products.

I purchased a few products and instantly fell in love with everything I tried. I expressed my love for the Dew Skin in a Friday Favorites post and recently wrote an entire blog post about the Soothing Face Oil. The Dew Skin Tinted Moisturizer is lightweight, contains sunscreen, and leaves a luminous glow that makes my skin look alive. (I use No. 2.) The Beautycounter oils are amazing for combating dry skin, and after trying 7 other products, I was at wit’s end. I honestly look forward to using these products every day, and I’ve already seen changes in my skin.

Not only do I love the Beautycounter products I’ve tried, but I also love what they stand for. Their products are free of 1500 questionable or harmful chemicals–ingredients that are known carcinogens or harmful to our organs. The company is constantly striving to use ingredients that are safer and better for our bodies since these are products we use every day.

Their products are also quality products and you definitely get what you pay for! I am willing to pay a little more if the products last longer (My Charcoal Cleansing Bar is still going strong after having it for 3 months and using it 2-3 times per week!) and actually do what they say they are going to do! And I don’t know if it is coincidence or not, but I haven’t had a blemish in several weeks . . . . .I think since I started using the Soothing Face Oil. I think that says a lot: quality products = quality skin. I am optimistic that as I continue to use Beautycounter products, my skin will continue to improve as well.

If you have any questions regarding Beautycounter products, comment below or e-mail me. I’d love to share more! I have learned a great deal of information through our Facebook groups, videos, and trying their products myself, but if I don’t know an answer, I have great mentors who will be able to help me out!

Enjoy your day!

Hey-we may want to double-check, but I think the plumping face oil replaced the hydrating face oil. I’m confused though…I’ve been using beautycounter products for almost 4 years now (they’re amazing!), and I started with “lustro face oil 1,” which was later renamed “soothing face oil.” Maybe, with the new line, the BC+ that replaced soothing is 1? I don’t know!

See, that’s what I thought too. . . because that’s what the website says. However, my mentor emailed the company and they said No. 2 Plumping Facial Oil replaces the Soothing Face Oil. So then I compared the ingredients, and the ingredients from the Plumping Facial Oil and the Soothing Face Oil match. The only difference was one or two ingredients towards the bottom of the list, which makes me think they only changed the scent. I’ve contacted my mentor to try and figure this out because I’m a little confused myself, so I will comment again once I get it figured out!

So sorry for the confusion. It seems as though the Soothing Face Oil truly has been discontinued, but the closest is the No. 1 Brightening Facial Oil.

Well, I think we’re all getting confused. . . .I am now being told that No. 2 Plumping Facial Oil is indeed the closest to the Soothing Oil. Someone confirmed by watching a video of the lady who developed the product and she said that the Soothing Face Oil is the closest to No. 2!!!

About five years ago, I switched to Andalou Naturals for my facial cleanser rather than the Neutrogena I had been using. I noticed fewer blemishes almost immediately and haven’t looked back. Now almost all my products are from that brand or one similar called Avalon. It’s definitely worth it to go for natural and organic products.

Definitely! There’s a reason our bodies fight back when we use unnatural products!
