Things I’m Loving Lately V

Chocolate Peppermint Stick Luna Bar

I am totally digging these chocolate peppermint stick Luna bars especially as we approach the holiday season.

Sugar Cookie Sleigh Ride Tea

Here’s another holiday-inspired treat I am loving. This would go perfect with a few Christmas cookies on a cold, wintery evening.

Can you say Minnesota nice?

At the NCAA Cross Country Championship race, a runner collapses near the finish line. Her teammate sees her and then helps her up, and then another athlete from a different team (University of Minnesota) also helps her cross the finish line. There have been a handful of these stories recently, but they still make me happy that there are selfless people out there!

Article about the story.

Lentil Soup

This is the second time I’ve made Alton Brown’s Lentil Soup. It is super easy and super tasty.

The lack of snow!

We had a few inches on October 20 but none since then, and I am definitely A-okay with that!

Treadmill Truth

Yep! Enough said. Although I plan on doing one hard workout on the treadmill this winter. Thankfully the hard workouts usually go by pretty fast.

This guy. . . . .of course

Baby Music

I have been playing the Sleepytime Tunes radio station on Pandora to help get Cullen down for his nap. I’m not sure it is helping, but I still do enjoy the quality classical music on this particular station. It doesn’t hurt for him to listen to good music like this anyhow!

And last but not least. . . .

My sister is coming to visit for Thanksgiving, and I could not be more excited!

She will be here to see her nephew and hang out with me for a week. Yeah!

This is a picture of her killing it at the Twin Cities Marathon this year in a time of 3:16.

Tell me something you are loving these days.

Hi, I'm Michelle

I love running around the lakes of Minnesota, running after my two boys, and racing anything from the 5K to the marathon. I have been blogging here since 2010 when I ran my first marathon. I finally secured my sub-3 hour marathon after trying for 8 years.
