My Alaska Baby Shower

My wonderful friends and family threw me a baby shower today to celebrate baby Baxter coming.

We hosted the shower at my place so that people could see the baby’s room! Plus that gave me a deadline to get everything done.

The food was prepped.

And the gifts were set out along with a calendar for guests to guess when the baby would be born and whether it would be a boy or girl. Only two people guessed it is a girl. (I hope it is a girl so everyone is shocked!)  DSC_0004

A full spread was prepared with dolmas (grape leaves stuffed with rice and seasonings), meatballs, spanakopita (spinach pies with phyllo dough), homemade hummus with bread, deviled eggs, veggie tray, and fruit.

One of the hostesses-with-the-mostestes made this fruit display. How cute.

Games were played, presents were unwrapped, and birth stories were shared. And I practiced holding my friend’s baby.

Less than 6 weeks to go!

Hi, I'm Michelle

I love running around the lakes of Minnesota, running after my two boys, and racing anything from the 5K to the marathon. I have been blogging here since 2010 when I ran my first marathon. I finally secured my sub-3 hour marathon after trying for 8 years.
