Looking Forward To. . . .

Woohoo! Three-day weekends are the best because I actually feel like I get a weekend. I’m especially excited for:

– The Trent/Waldron Glacier Half-Marathon tomorrow morning.

– Bridal shower Saturday afternoon.

– BBQ with friends.

– Sleeping in.

– Spending time with Craig—we’ve talked about going on a bike ride and playing disc golf.

– The nice weather!

After work I stopped at Target to pick up a few things. Isn’t the dollar section the best?

I wanted to pick this up for you, Mom, but thought I’d just take a picture instead.

I also picked up this shampoo and deep treatment conditioner by Shea Moisture based off a friend’s recommendation who also has fine hair like myself. I was super excited to find it on sale!

Now that I can finally think about wearing less layers of clothing, I am looking for a recommendation for a self-tanner. Any recommendations? I read good reviews about these Tan Towel towelettes. Has anyone tried them?

I’m excited for the half-marathon in the morning. I don’t have any big time goals—just to run as fast as I can. I know I won’t be able to set a PR, but I’m hoping to at least be under 1:40.

Question

What are you excited for this weekend?

Hi, I'm Michelle

I love running around the lakes of Minnesota, running after my two boys, and racing anything from the 5K to the marathon. I have been blogging here since 2010 when I ran my first marathon. I finally secured my sub-3 hour marathon after trying for 8 years.

I didn’t even realize it could get that warm in Alaska!

Oh man, this comment made me laugh out loud. Sadly, it doesn’t get this warm very often—and these temps are considered “hot” for most Alaskans (not me!). I don’t know about you, but before I moved to Alaska, I had no idea what it was like here–or never even considered it. I knew Alaska existed, but no one really lived there, right?

I liked the bacon tray!! Thanks for thinking about me. I would rather be in Alaska now then here is “rainy” Minnesota. It’s warmer in Alaska than here.
