‘Twas the Night Before the Boston Marathon

Ahhh!! This is it. Tomorrow’s the big day—the 2013 Boston Marathon.

My sister, Kristy, and I will be running our first Boston Marathon. This will my 5th marathon and her 2nd marathon. (Yes, she was one of those lucky people who qualified on her first try.)

The city is buzzing with excitement, and I hope it gives me the lift I need. I’m nervous and anxious and just want to start running.

I am praying for a fun, some-what fast race, and no injuries!!

Hi, I'm Michelle

I love running around the lakes of Minnesota, running after my two boys, and racing anything from the 5K to the marathon. I have been blogging here since 2010 when I ran my first marathon. I finally secured my sub-3 hour marathon after trying for 8 years.

For those inquiring, Michelle and her family are safe. She finished the race and had moved out of the immediate area about 10 minutes before the bomb went off. I will let her add the details when she gets a chance to update her blog, but wanted to put your minds and hearts at ease. They are all ok – though many others were hurt. Thank you for your prayers for Michelle and her family!
