I am a planner. I love making lists, planning out every little detail, and then “simply” following through. This is a strengthen of mine, and it is “easy” to do. (Once I make up my indecisive mind.)
But over the years I have learned that things don’t always go as planned. (Surprise, surprise!) I used to try and plan out the next few years of my life, but something always caused my plans to change. So as much as I want to plan everything out for the next 1-2 years, I know my plans won’t go as planned.
The one thing I do know is that things will be changing quite a bit over the next year or so for us. Craig and I are getting to that point where are careers are changing, we want to settle down and start and family, and buying a house is on the brink of our minds. I don’t know what those careers will be, I don’t know where we will settle down, and I don’t know what our house will look like, but I’m excited (and nervous and scared) as to what will happen.
My morning started out with a run. Another pain-free run! This is the 4th run with no pain, so I’m hoping this is a good sign.
I knew it was going to be cold again (8*F), but I always remind myself that I will feel so much better if I go out for my run rather than skip it.
Distance: 5 miles
Time: 45 minutes
Pace: 9 minutes/miile
I made sure to leave early enough before work, so I could cash in my free coffee coupon. It’s the little things.
It was a long day at work. I had work to do, but I was still bored out of my mind. I was constantly checking the clock and counting down the hours. I hate that.
I did have another physical therapy appoint, and I’m happy to report that I don’t have to go back—that is if I don’t have any more pain. The physical therapist set me up with a running plan for Boston, and we were able to squeeze in one 20-miler three weeks out. I sure hope that actually happens because it would really boost my confidence!
After work I hit up the gym for some weight lifting. I pretty much have to workout twice a day with all the sitting at work I do otherwise I have a hard time maintaining my weight.
Do you like to plan things out or fly by the seat of your pants?
Do you get bored at work or do you stay pretty occupied?
