My Husband the Model

It was almost 8:00 a.m. before I got out of bed this morning! 🙂 I am going to miss getting adequate sleep once school starts up again.

When I got up, I did a few things around the apartment, then had a piece of toast: half with almond butter, half with peanut butter, and half of a banana.

Then at 9:00 a.m., Craig and I headed to our favorite coffee shop–Kaladi Brothers Coffee–to enjoy some coffee and time together.

What some of you may not know is that my husband is currently in the running for America’s Next Top Model.

What do you think? Does he have a chance?

Work it, Craig! Work it!

When we got back home, I headed out for a run, while Craig ran some errands.

I wanted to run 10 miles today, but I wasn’t feeling quite as good as I did the other day, and my stomach started to hurt pretty badly after 45 minutes because I was hungry, so I had to cut the run short.

However, I did complete 8 miles in 1:10; I was pleased about that. And it was about 23 degrees today–once again, twice as warm as yesterday! It was actually quite bearable out there.

To get some calories into my system quickly, I had about 6 oz. of Gatorade.

I then made myself a Green Monster Protein Smoothie, which was much needed. I also snacked on some pretzels.

We are now off for a snowmobiling (or “snow-machining” as it is known in Alaska) adventure. Pray that I don’t freeze my tussie off!!

Question

Is there an item that is called something different where you live?

For example, in Minnesota, where I grew up, we called “one-dish-meals” hotdishes, whereas most other areas of the country call them casseroles.

Hi, I'm Michelle

I love running around the lakes of Minnesota, running after my two boys, and racing anything from the 5K to the marathon. I have been blogging here since 2010 when I ran my first marathon. I finally secured my sub-3 hour marathon after trying for 8 years.

I’d say 8 miles in 1:10 is great!! I love the half peanut butter half almond butter toast, sometimes I have a terrible time deciding which nut butter I want! 🙂

I went to college in Kentucky. There shopping carts are called buggies. Weird.

When you go to the grocery store you grab a “buggy” in Aurora, Colorado, not a “shopping cart.”

Looks like your husband has some natural modeling talent!
The big one that comes to mind for me is: soda vs. pop

I’m from NH and my family had three meals a day…breakfast, dinner, and supper. Dinner = Lunch and Supper = Dinner.

To this day I still say supper instead of dinner, lol

My family was the same way! I thought it was a term “country-folk” used (I grew up on a farm.), but maybe not?!?!
