Snow (Ice) Day!

Yahoo!!! No school for me today!!!

You can see pictures of the ice here on yesterday’s post.

Last night I crawled into bed around 9:30 p.m. and started reading the newest issue of Real Simple. Craig suddenly came in and announced he had good news for me. I had no idea what it would be, so he told me, “school is canceled tomorrow.” I was stoked! I couldn’t believe it! πŸ˜€

I immediately shut my alarm, got out of bed, and watched some TV. I was too excited to sleep; I felt like a little kid!

It felt SO good to sleep in this morning. I didn’t get out of bed until 7:30 a.m., and I don’t think I’ve slept that late–even on the weekend this school year! It was wonderful! πŸ™‚

I got up to make breakfast for Craig. (It felt like summer all over again!)

English muffin French toast + grilled bananas + pumpkin + pecans

I had already prepared some overnight oats for myself, so I enjoyed that instead.

I have a big, long list of things to accomplish today, so it’s time to get started!

Hi, I'm Michelle

I love running around the lakes of Minnesota, running after my two boys, and racing anything from the 5K to the marathon. I have been blogging here since 2010 when I ran my first marathon. I finally secured my sub-3 hour marathon after trying for 8 years.

Oh my gosh, I miss snow days so much. I grew up in New Hampshire and snow days were the BEST, especially when they were announced the night before the storm! Hope you’ve been enjoying it!
