Help for the Not-So Techy

Holy soreness!

I was not expecting to be this sore from doing hot yoga the other day! I’m not sure what it was, but my glutes, hip flexors, and adductors are sore! I’m not complaining because I like being sore, but I just wasn’t expecting it!

Has anyone else experienced soreness after doing yoga?

~~~~~~~
After four days of laying on the couch and trying to get over my cold, I finally made it out for a run yesterday (Monday) morning. It was wonderful, but SUPER slippery which caused me to do a lot of grumbling under my breath! Anyway, I made it 5 miles without falling–always a plus!
This morning I ran a quick 4 miles because every Tuesday I have to be to work earlier than normal for a staff meeting, which are completely irrelevant to me, but I did get out early today, thankfully!
Snack
While I was sick, my appetite definitely diminished, but it was back in full-force today! Holy cow, I think I had eaten half of my lunch by 10:30 a.m. this morning! I always pack extra food in my lunch in case something like this happens.
I had this Clif bar for an afternoon snack. I loved the pumpkin flavor in this bar, and it was actually quite moist–not on the drier side like they usually are!
Dinner
On the menu tonight:
Spicy Shrimp and Bok Choy Noodle Bowl
What a great dish filled with bok choy, musrooms, shrimp, spaghetti noodles, and HEAT!! Oh baby, was this spicy!! Even my husband who loves HOT foods had watery eyes and a runny nose!!
Yet we still kept shoveling spoonful after spoonful into our mouth because it was delicious!Spicy Shrimp and Bok Choy
(Based off this recipe.)
Ingredients
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 teaspoons crushed red pepper flakes
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 inches ginger root, peeled and grated
1/2 pound mushrooms, sliced
1/2 medium bok choy bunch, trimmed and cut into 3-inch pieces, then cut into sticks lengthwise
Salt and pepper
1 quart low-sodium, organic vegetable broth
3/4 cup clam juice
1 pound medium peeled, deveined, and cooked shrimp
1/3 pound thin spaghetti
2 scallions, cut into 3 inch pieces, then shredded lengthwise into thin sticks
Directions
Heat a medium soup pot over medium-high heat. Add olive oil, crushed red pepper flakes, garlic, ginger, mushrooms, and bok choy; then season with salt and pepper. Add vegetable broth and clam juice. Put a lid on the pot and bring soup to a boil.
Add noodles and cook 5 minutes. Add scallions and shrimp and cook 2 minutes longer or until shrimp is heated through. Remove from heat and let it sit 2 to 3 minutes more.
Question
Alright, so here’s a question for all of you tech-savvy bloggers out there.
Right now, I have run out of space to save pictures, so I want to acquire more space. I was thinking about doing this through WordPress because it seemed the easiest and cheapest (??). Then I figured I should go ahead and get rid of the “wordpress” part in my domain/URL address (is that the right word–see I need help!), but I’m not sure if I should just go through WordPress or through someone else–FitBlogger, Go Daddy, etc. Please help in any way possible I will forever love you!
Hi, I'm Michelle
I love running around the lakes of Minnesota, running after my two boys, and racing anything from the 5K to the marathon. I have been blogging here since 2010 when I ran my first marathon. I finally secured my sub-3 hour marathon after trying for 8 years.
    Michelle – I am DYING to try hot yoga! Did you just love it?! With regards to your “tech” question….just buy your own site. You’ll have to spend time doing it, but your “picture” problem and many others will disappear:)
      I’m totally in love with hot yoga! It was so nice to be warm and sweat my butt off after literally freezing my butt off here in Alaska! Thanks for the advice! How do I go about buying my own site?
    My mom does webmaster (webmistress?) stuff for several websites, and usually buys domains/webspace through Omnis. We recently registered there for a business for Mark & his brothers and it was pretty clean & straightforward (not flashy like godaddy). We clicked through Shopathome.com to Omnis and got $40 back on the price!
