It is Confirmed

It has been officially confirmed by the National Weather Service that this “summer”–here in Alaska–truly has been the most un-summerlike!! This means the whining I’ve done for all the cloud cover and rain we’ve had over the past few months is legitimate!!

Here’s an excerpt from an article in the Anchorage Daily News.

This summer has so far been one of the coldest, gloomiest and wettest on record for Southcentral Alaska, the National Weather Service confirmed Thursday.

Should a drop of rain fall today — and forecasters say it likely will — Anchorage will have tied the record for the most consecutive rainy days.

The mushrooms in our front yard sure like all the rain!

I found Mario and Luigi romping around this one! 😉

Other than the weather, I don’t have much to blog about tonight. I spent the day at a teacher in-service for physical education educators. I thought the sessions were quite interesting.

This afternoon’s snack was a Nature’s Path Lotta’ Apricotta granola bar. I was pleasantly surprised that this granola bar wasn’t super dry like many granola bars are. I really enjoyed it!

I bought these crackers a while back but haven’t had a chance to give a review yet. So here it goes. . .  I really enjoyed the sesame taste of these crackers. There isn’t anything necessarily special about these, but they are a wholesome cracker that I enjoy with cheese. This morning’s 4-mile run was a quick one at 5:15 a.m. this morning. It was odd to be out running so early, but I enjoyed the peacefulness of it.

I’m off to bed for the night!!

Hi, I'm Michelle

I love running around the lakes of Minnesota, running after my two boys, and racing anything from the 5K to the marathon. I have been blogging here since 2010 when I ran my first marathon. I finally secured my sub-3 hour marathon after trying for 8 years.
