Errands On My Bike

I feel like I’ve been on my bike all day today. I rode my bike on three separate occasions today, so I am pretty sure my bum is going to be very sore tomorrow!

Instead of running this morning, I rode my bike for 35 minutes before breakfast. I cannot think of the last time I didn’t want to run in the morning. I don’t know what was going on, but yesterday’s run got me feeling a little frustrated and thinking about taking a day off, so I chose to bike this morning instead. However, I am not sure I actually gave myself a break with all the biking I did today.

When, I came back, I had a pancake with rhubarb jam.

I am probably weird for liking not minding cold pancakes. I am sure most people think they are disgusting, but they taste like a piece of bread to me and you guys know how much I love my carbs!!

I also had a container of “O” Organics Banana Vanilla yogurt. This isn’t my thick, creamy Greek yogurt, but I do love the taste and smooth texture.

After making several calls about my (minor) hit and run accident to my car yesterday, I hopped on my bike and took a DVD and 2 books back to the library. I also went to the grocery store to get a sweet potato and frozen corn for tonight’s meal, but the grocery store didn’t have any sweet potatoes. Seriously, they aren’t that uncommon!! So back home I went.

After an hour-long bike ride, it was time for lunch.

– turkey sandwich on multigrain bread with havarti cheese, lettuce, and tomato

– carrot sticks

– last night’s Spaghetti with Edamame and Tomato leftovers (I actually didn’t end up eating this.)

Instead of the pasta dish, I had these healthy delicous kettle chips I bought yesterday. These are awesome chips–a great vinegar flavor with a nice crunch!

My sweet tooth was calling for some vanilla bean ice cream with chocolate chips and peanut butter–love this combination!

This afternoon, I hopped on my bike again and ran biked two more errands.

1. I purchased tickets to see Bart Yasso speak on Thursday evening!! I am super excited. 🙂 (Attention locals, Mr. Yasso will be speaking at Bear’s Tooth at 5:30 p.m. Thursday evening. Tickets are $5, and there are still some available!)

2. To buy a sweet potato and frozen corn since the other grocery store was out!

When I got back, I snacked on a nectarine.I’m off to do the dishes, shower, make some bars, and then make dinner!!

Hi, I'm Michelle

I love running around the lakes of Minnesota, running after my two boys, and racing anything from the 5K to the marathon. I have been blogging here since 2010 when I ran my first marathon. I finally secured my sub-3 hour marathon after trying for 8 years.

Nothing wrong with a good old bike ride… I prefer it except in the rain. And who is Mr. Yasso? What is he speaking about? Thanks for the post and take care!

p.s. cold pancakes are awesome! I love pancakes and have been told by some very elite people (*cough* family *cough cough*) that I make some of the best pancakes in the world! 🙂
